Aitken Robertson have always been very understanding and supportive during this very difficult time and I felt very comfortable speaking to all members of the team, my representing Lawyer, Rawi Asghar and Paralegal Melanie Aarde who were always available to answer my questions and address my concerns. Rawi took my case and fought for me every step of the way through skillful negotiation. He was able to get the charges withdrawn entirely. What made the biggest difference was feeling supported and believed in throughout the process. Rawi explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and gave me hope when I needed it most. Thanks to Rawi of his professionalism and dedication, my case was resolved successfully.

The outcome was nothing short of a miracle, going from jail time and license suspension to having the charges completely withdrawn and walking out a free man. Back in 2023 I went on a search to find the best lawyer to help me with my charges. I have never been in any trouble and at first didn’t realize how serious the situation was. Tarinpal was assigned to my case and I couldn’t be happier with all that he’s done. As you may know being charged means you are facing serious consequences that can be life changing. This was a very stressful time for me. With going back and forth between court dates and waiting months anxiously to know what is going on. Tarinpal and his assistant Melanie have been there to give me peace of mind. I was beyond relieved to find out that we were able to work out a deal. I can now put this behind me as my lesson was learned. If you are facing serious charges and need a great lawyer don’t hesitate, they will do everything they can to help. I cannot say enough good things about Richard Aitken. And Melanie Aarde. They were very honest about my situation made me very aware of the situation I was in. They gave me great expert advice on how to handle the situation and what I could expect in the future.  Richard and Melanie always made me very relaxed on the phone and covered all the details very honestly and professionally and sent me some great literature how to deal with any situation that may arise. Payments were made very easily funds will be returned very quickly, and I definitely got outstanding service from this firm. I can't say enough good things about this law firm. After finding myself in trouble and not knowing what to do I called Aitken Robertson. I frist spoke to Lindsey and she helped me to calm down and she set me up with Melanie. Melanie was amazing. I didn't have to step foot in the courtroom she handled everything. Communication was easy I went in to the office for appointments, had video meetings, phone calls, emals, they were very accommodating. They made sure to make my case a priority making me feel safe and taken care of during such an uncertain time for myself. Thanks to her hard work I was able to have charges reduced to basically nothing. Billing was so easy I had help from Susie for this. From the very first call, Melanie, Aitken Robertson's Firms Paralegal, had great communication, was understanding  and spoke to us with empathy which was a comfort in a otherwise very difficult and shocking matter.

Confident in that my loved one would receive immediate and ongoing aid, we choose and retained Aitkens to represent.

Susan was quick to visit my loved one and offer their services which was a relief as no one else could reach or visit them for a time.

Throughout the whole process  it was made clear to us what needed to be done so we could promptly respond. Richard managed our case all the way through. I choose Aitken Robertson Law Firm  to represent me in my legal matter that began in July 2023, and has since been resolved now in Oct 2024.

Founding lawyer Richard Aitken managed my case , he listened to me and saw my case threw to its eventual win. His warm down to earth energy matched with his 35years experience in criminal law combined with his early experience helping parents in family law( which has much different rules of evidence) meant with Richard managing my case, I knew I was in good hands.

The teams paralegal Melanie did the intake, and worked very hard on my case throughout it. Melanie was prompt and aided my family and I in explaining the process in great detail and what was nessisary which was critical especially during my cases start.  Melanie's communication made a huge difference. I am greatfull for the compasstion and understanding  that shes shown my family and I, in what has been one of the hardest times of my life and affected us all. This all happening just shy a year after my father's passing.

Words cannot express how happy I am that Richard,  Melanie, Edmund, and Susan aided me . They were direct and determined to stand up for me as their client and the truth.

Edmund Chan, a trial lawyer with over 25years experience and works with Aitkens Robertsons Firm was also apart of my legal team. He faught diligently on my behalf for  the very best outcome.  I am very happy to have made it threw the criminal legal process and what started as a shock can now be accepted and moved on from.

I was charged and accused in  2023 , and right from the start Richard and the team at Aitkens Robertson Law Firm clearly communicated, explained everything in detail and faught for my innocence and enevitably had my charges withdrawn with the argreement to a simple 3 year peace bond/no contact order and weapon conditions with exceptions.

The original list of charges were intimidating,  especially as I had never been in trouble with the law before and I was completely blindsided by the charges  which were found, then accepted as a attempt to weaponize the legal system to gain a advantage in family court.  Richard was reassuring in that it was a marathon and him and his team would be there for me threw it, and they were.

It seemed very likely  after the crowns multiple attempts to settle for a few less charges that Id have to go to trial as I could not admit to something I didnt do.

Dispite the crowns multiple offers Aitken Robertsons Law stood firm and built a strong evidence based case.  Edmund Chan was able to use this to prevent my case going to trial if I argreed to take a parenting course and PAR.  I was happy to do so and completed them. If we had gone to trial it would have further cost me and my family and further delay my family court case.

1year and 3 months after I was charged , the charges were completly withdrawn. I am now able to pursue my family court case fully.   I am able to continue to hunt for sustenance as I have traditionally done so. Travelling will not be restricted once all the systems records are updated.

Melanie worked closely with my supports and as per my wishes the entire legal team accepted my choice to include my family and support which I am very greatfull for.

I highly recommend and would choose Aitken Robertson's Law Firm for any legal matter that needs support.

Finally having a payment plan /flexible fee arrangements as a option offers ease of mind.

I wholeheartedly recommend Aitken Robertson law firm. I was facing an unjustly assault charge and was recommended this law firm after failing to find one for several weeks. They're level of professionalism and genuine sincerity is absolutely remarkable. I had spend over 15yrs to become fully pardoned from youthful foolishness. Months into it I was exhausted mentally, physically and emotionally. I was ready to throw in the towel. Knowing what this would do to my future and the career I was finally able to pursue. Instead of being treated like another case on a desk and letting me throw it all away, they encourage me to do the opposite and trust them to get the end result I originally wanted. With a little time and patience with more then enough communication, they did just that. The charge against me was dropped. I'm still record free and have a future to look forward to. Mr. Robertson and Melanie his paralegal, who are absolutely an amazing people. They treated me with such respect and understanding. Did more for me then I words could express. I'm sincerely greatful for everything.

I received outstanding service from Aitken Robertson Law. I was charged with robbery by the police, while my version of the story was completely different. I was in shock and very afraid. I contacted this law firm, and I immediately got a call back from from Richard assuring me that they would do everything they  could to help me. He listened and heard my side of the story. Melanie and Richard were amazing with helping me get through the emotional part and giving me professional legal advice. My file was quickly given to Virginia Dolinska who was assigned to be my lawyer and represent me. She said she would be appearing at all my court appearances for me and that I would not have to be present. I feared losing my job. Zachary was amazing keeping me informed about all the appearances. Virginia said she would try to get the best outcome for me, of which she did. After a few months, she called me to say that the crown will withdraw the charge and are willing to provide me with a 12 month peace bond, Which meant no criminal record for me. Therefor. I could keep my job. Wow, from robbery to a peace bond. I was so happy and had happy tears. Virginia's hard work and dedication to help me will never be forgotten. She said she would do her best, and that she did. Also, Suzie was very helpful providing me with a manageable payment plan. As we all know life can bring sudden challenges and I can attest that even seemingly honest and law abiding citizens from all walks of life can occasionally become a victim of our criminal justice system. I fell into that trap suddenly after navigating life without any issues for over 63 years.

I was facing criminal charges for a matter which I knew and felt personally was unjustified. Navigating the legal system is complex and risky if an individual does not have an experienced attorney who specializes in criminal law.

The law firm of Aitken Robertson was chosen to represent me because of personal recommendations from friends and the stellar reviews online from hundreds of satisfied clients. I felt confident that I has made the right decision.

Melanie Van Aarde was chosen by the firm to represent my case and I can see why that decision was made. Her obvious experience and extensive criminal law background became clear almost immediately after my interaction started with her.

Her largest attribute is the communication skills she brings to the table. As a person myself who has extensive skills in personal communication from over 40 years in the customer service industry, I could immediately see that I had an attorney who listened patiently and attentively to there clients needs and concerns.
