The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings capable of law, where there is no law, there is no freedom.” – John Locke

My Client Reviews

Jaspreet Gill - Criminal Lawyer

My journey at Aitken Robertson began as a legal assistant in 2021. I started assisting Ms. Virginia Dolinska on various adult and youth matters, including impaired driving, sexual and domestic assault, uttering threats, criminal harassment, break and enter, et cetera. Subsequently, Ms. Dolinska became my articling principal and I worked on numerous matters under her direct supervision. I also assisted other lawyers in my firm with bail reviews and bail hearings.

Since 2021, I have appeared in courts in several jurisdictions in the eastern region regularly. I have learned to advocate zealously and with confidence. I undertake to represent all my clients with unflinching determination while utilizing my academic knowledge and hands-on experience. While dealing with your matter, my primary focus will be on providing the best possible outcomes in a cost-effective manner.

I handle my clients with compassion as I understand that legal proceedings come with emotional strain and hardships. I also understand that not everyone is well-acquainted with legal terminology and complex court procedures. I work tenaciously with my clients to help them comprehend the subtle elements of criminal law and the court process. Client satisfaction is of paramount importance to me and my firm.

My academic achievements include graduating with a B.A. LL.B. degree from a prestigious law school in India, and obtaining a paralegal graduate certificate while remaining on the Dean’s list for all the semesters. I completed my paralegal co-op at a reputed paralegal firm.  Then I joined a well-established immigration firm as a legal assistant. While working in the field of immigration law, I learned about the repercussions of criminal convictions on the immigration applications and status in Canada. Thereafter, I passed my NCA tests (accreditation exams for internationally trained lawyers) and lawyer licensing exams in less than a year. I also completed various distance learning courses to keep myself abreast of the latest developments in the law.

I strive to make continuous efforts to develop my expertise in the field of criminal law while representing my clients and protecting their rights to the best of my ability!
