EDWIN BOEVE
I grew up in the small town of Cobourg and knew I wanted to be a lawyer since high school. I believe it is not just about “guilt” or “innocence” but whether a person’s rights have been infringed by the police. I also believe in giving individuals who make a mistake a second chance.

I graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1993. I graduated with high distinction and was recognized with Dr. Robert Lockhart’s graduation award for highest average in the program. I graduated from University of Toronto’s faculty of law in 1997 and also completed my master’s in social work.
I defend various criminal cases including drinking and driving, dangerous driving, mischief, assault, theft over and under, fraud over and under, sexual assault, and offences found under the controlled drugs and substances act. I have appeared at various tribunals and the federal court of Canada to defend regulatory offences and appeal immigration cases. Cases involving possession or distribution of child pornography will be referred to a competent lawyer of your choice.
I have appeared at the Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. I cannot win every case, but I will do my best.
Otherwise, I enjoy spending time with my wife, 3 boys, travelling, camping, and visiting Florida.
