Carol Betz

I aid both Dan Lemaire and Richard Aitken while handling some Highway Traffic Act charges and other provincial offences myself. My organizational skills are invaluable to the team in managing case files, scheduling meetings with the Crown, and ensuring that each client receives information as a case progresses.

Thank you for taking the time to review my bio on our website. In this technological day and age your digital appearance tends to be that first appearance and we all hope our website has given you a positive feeling about us.

I was fortunate enough to join the Aitken Robertson team in 2015. While with this firm, I became a licenced paralegal and now I do dual duty as a paralegal and also as the assistant to lawyer Dan Lemaire.

Primarily working out of the tri-counties which consist of Peterborough, Lindsay and Cobourg, my priority is to make this daunting experience of dealing with charges just a little bit easier for each client. From the time of the start of the initial retainer, I work with the clients in organizing their paperwork, requesting disclosure from the Crown Attorney and often explaining the process from start to finish. My organizational skills have always been of great benefit, especially when it comes to getting to know each client individually. When it comes to the paralegal work, I can transfer these skills to assisting in effectively and quickly resolving your provincial offences with the best outcome possible in your circumstances whether you have a simple speeding ticket or a more serious matter of careless driving or distracted driving which may require a Charter application and multiple days of trial, I have the skill set to help you. My interest in the law extends to all aspects of the POA Court which I’m more than happy to discuss with you.

When I am not dedicating my time to our clients, I like to spend time with my friends and family, play board games and binge watch the latest Netflix reality show or documentary. I also enjoy baking and will spend hours in the kitchen preparing delicious snacks for my loved ones.
