Assault: Criminal Harassment Charges

Criminal harassment is a Criminal Code charge here in Canada and what criminal harassment identifies is it identifies behaviour that has inconvenienced or upset another individual and that the  authorities have deemed to be criminal. For instance what can cause behaviour to be deemed criminalized is the repeated nature of the behavior or the grandiose nature of the behaviour. So you could be charged with criminal harassment following a singular interaction with an individual if your actions during that interaction were deemed severe enough, or you could be charged with criminal harassment due to the multiplicity of your actions. For instance if you were to accost an individual over the phone and that individual was to ask you to cease and desist from ever contacting them again and you were to continue to attempt to contact that individual, that would likely result in a charge of criminal harassment, or that type of behaviour is the type of behaviour that would justify the laying of the charge of criminal harassment.
