Fees – The (not so) bad news
At Aitken Robertson our primary concern is ensuring that you are represented in court. We want to work with you to get the best result possible.  As each case is individual there are different factors which will affect fees. However, we will inform you at each step of the proceeding as to what we are planning, what the consequences and costs are, and what your payment plan is. After meeting with you we will be able to give you an accurate, fair and affordable evaluation of what the costs in your case will be. The advantage of our experience in thousands of criminal cases is our ability to inform of costs in the initial stages.

Payment Plans are the Norm
Criminal charges are not something one plans for. As such, we at Aitken Robertson understand your stress and want to assist in putting this behind you. Most people cannot afford a lump sum payment up front to cover all legal and expert costs. We will work with you to ensure that we find a middle ground so that you can afford the best possible defence. Payment plans are the norm with our clients and we will assess your ability to pay when determining what is fair.

We do not charge interest on payment plans.

You pay at your own rate to cover the fees. We understand you are being burdened by the court system and our priority is to help you through this.

Block billing is our method
At Aitken Robertson you are not charged an hourly rate. Therefore, you do not need to worry that your lawyer is sitting by the phone with a stop watch looking to bill you. Instead, we give you the full costs up front regarding your case. You will know what it costs to achieve what you want. We want you to understand what is going on in your case, and believe communication is essential. At Aitken Robertson we do not want clients to worry about calling with questions, having appointments or the number of court appearances needed.  As such, we as a firm focus on block billing so you pay for the work that is done and the results achieved, not by the minute.

Payment Options
At Aitken Robertson we accept payment via a number of different methods. We want to work with you to make things as easy as possible. We now accept payment by the following options: cash, cheque, credit card, debit card, money order or bank draft. We want to help you!
